My grown-up little girl on Thanksgiving

Today for Thanksgiving we had our third annual dinner at Mimi's cafe with my mom and my sister Kim and her little family. As I was getting ready to go, I was thinking to myself what a wonderful tradition this has become. No cooking, no cleaning, we eat yummy food and then get to relax the rest of the day, with enough leftovers to last us the rest of today and even some tomorrow. Then literally just a couple minutes later, Brent came in saying this was the last year he wanted to do this. He said next year he wanted to have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at home. So much for my wonderful tradition.

One tradition I hope to keep is our Thanksgiving movie. Today after we ate we all went to see "The Bee Movie." I wasn't too impressed. In fact, I thought it was downright boring. I kept waiting for the redeeming funny part to come, but it never did. It was fun to be out with our family though.

Then we came home and had a nap. The movie that Ashley and I had wanted to see was "Enchanted." So Grammy suggested we go see that one after we had a nap. We got the baby to bed and Brent stayed in bed with her. Then my mom, Ashley, Ty and I went to see "Enchanted." It was so cute! Ashley absolutely loved it! It was so sweet to see her so excited throughout the movie and laughing out loud. On the drive home, my mom was asking her if she liked the movie. She said emphatically, "YES! But not the kissing, I don't like to see the kissing." My mom replied that was how her true love had to bring her back to life. She said it was just like in Sleeping Beauty and Snow White, they also had kissing in those movies to bring the princesses back to life. Ashley responded, "Yeah, but I was four then. . . I didn't understand!" My sweet little grown-up girl--she cracks me up.

Too funny! When you're "young" you just don't get the whole kissing thing :) I hope everyone is feeling better at your house!
