Phew!

Well, we were all shocked Thursday afternoon when Brent said the doctor wanted him to go in Friday for a heart procedure. He'd been having chest pains, tiredness, shortness of breath, etc. and our family doctor had recommended he go in for a stress test. The results gave that doctor reason to believe Brent might have some blockage in his arteries, and he wanted him to get an angiogram done. He told Brent he would likely need some stints put in to open the blockage and if the blockage turned out to be too bad, it might require surgery. I couldn't believe it! We didn't have much time to think about it, they scheduled Brent to come in the next day. They actually wanted him to go right in on Thursday, but Brent said he couldn't because of a couple important meetings. So Friday Brent and I went to LDS hospital for his angiogram. We were both quite nervous, but the doctor seemed very nice and we had heard he was one of the best. They took Brent back and told me it would be about 1-2 hours. After a couple hours they wheeled Brent back in. He was sound asleep, but looked good. The doctor told me he looked everywhere on his heart and could not find any blockages! He said that certainly doesn't happen very often there. He also said he has never had a patient that was so hard to sedate! He said they kept giving him more and more medicine and Brent just kept on talking! (Sounds like my man!) The doctors and nurses were all pretty amazed because they honestly had never seen someone like that before. We had a good laugh over that.
Well, Brent took a couple hours to wake up, but soon we were on our way back home, very relieved that his heart was fine. Brent's been very tired and sore. They put the catheter into an artery in his leg and then up to his heart to get the pictures, so I can imagine that would make one quite sore. But he's doing well. Thank you all for your prayers and calls. We sure love our family and friends and are grateful for your concern and support.
I'm so happy that my sweet hubby is okay. He had me quite worried for awhile there.

I'm so glad that he was ok. I sat down and prayed as soon as I heard, Heavenly Father must have been listening to the Tanner Family prayers. I love you both!
