Teeth

July has been a month of changes when it comes to teeth. Sarah got her first tooth on July 4th. We loved that single little tooth! Ashley and Ty seemed to get their teeth in pairs, so having just one little tooth sticking out was so cute and goofy. We all loved Sarah's new smile.

Well, it wasn't long before another tooth came in. On July 23rd she got her second little tooth. She is getting so big!

But, the one who is really getting big is Ashley. She has 3 loose teeth!! A couple weeks ago, I was looking at Ashley's smile and I thought, "My goodness she has a big space between her teeth." So I did some probing and found that she has one really loose tooth and a couple that are becoming loose. Her teeth are really spreading apart to make room for the new teeth.

She is pretty excited, but also a little nervous about losing her teeth. I am so sad to see those cute little baby teeth go, but I love to wiggle them. I can still totally remember the feeling of having loose teeth myself. What a strange feeling it was. I loved to wiggle my teeth and try to pull them out. Now I keep wiggling Ashley's teeth, but just a little, because I really don't want to make them come out. Brent gets mad when he sees me wiggle them because he really doesn't want her to loose those cute little teeth. So whenever I ask Ashley to let me wiggle them, she says, "I'm going to tell Dad" or "Dad will get mad!" But she always relents and lets me wiggle a little. She is so cute. I'm so glad I had her picture taken recently (see the previous post) before she gets a whole new smile. What a grown up girl she's becoming! Sarah too! We joke that Sarah is getting teeth and Ashley is losing them! Today Ty kept telling me to look at his teeth too. I guess he's feeling a little left out.
